Upper Key Stage 2 children enjoyed a fun and educational visit from Severn Trent Water. Chris from the Education Team taught the children about what they can and can’t flush down the toilet and we learnt the 3 P’s rule - paper, poo and pee!
We also learnt about how the water is treated at the plants and had a go at filtering our own wastewater, with examples of things that the workers at Severn Trent have found flushed down toilets. The children couldn’t believe the things that people had flushed away… false teeth and toys!!!
